How long from Pre-op did you wait for surgery?

I am just wondering how long people have had to wait from Preop appointment to their surgery?
What do they do at the pre-op appointment?

My first appointment was July 17th and I had surgery in Dec 3rd , so all in all 6 months.

I guess I worded that wrong, but I meant from your preop appointment before the surgery.
I have been waiting through all this stuff since June but just wondered once they have you come in to the pre-op appointment, was tje surgery date set for right away or another week?
You waited a long time too it seems....That is hard!!!

I think it was within a week.  My sister's was within a few days since she was out of state.

I think my pre-op appointment was on the 15th and surgery was on the 28th.  Could've done surgery a few days earlier but I had a vacation scheduled that I couldn't cancel.  Seems like they drew blood, did the EKG and that's all I can remember!  I'm pretty sure they try to do the pre-op within 2 weeks of surgery so the results are "fresh".

It is a pretty quick turn around.  Kind of depends on your schedule.  I had to work around the end of the school year.

You have to repeat labs if surgery is not within 2 weeks of your pre-op appointment.

I went to the info class in March...then started with the testing. I got my paper work sent in to the insurance co in September and had surgery in Nov....so about 8 months for me
