Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!  Patti, Debbie and I went to the Support Group at the Moore hospital last Thursday night.  The night it was so miserable with ice.  Mark , the nurse from the surgical unit at Norman Hosp was the moderator, and there were two men who had not had their surgery soon.  One of them was a young man who is a chef.  He was having the sleeve done I think tomorrow.  He was a real sweetheart.  I wish him luck.  I told both of them about the OH websit and all the support here.  Patti, do you go to that group?

WELCOME Marsha! I am also a southsider and had my sleeve in Edmond on 7/7/08. This group has been an amazing support to me. I am wanting to get a southside walking group up and running again so if you are interested let me know. We were walking on Saturday mornings at Earlywine but I am open to anything.

Aww Marsha me and Patti were both suppposed to be at that meeting but chickened out due to all teh ice. I had my surgery with Dr. Keith (Dr. Nelson's partner) in Novemebe rnd am alreqdy so happy with everything. We are always her eto bounce things off of.

Hi Marsha. welcome to the group, I think you will really like it here! I am looking forward to watching your progress as you go through your journey! You certainly came to the right place for good support, this is the best place if you ask me. I wouldnt have done as well as I have without some of the people here!  Congrats on your date, it will be here before you know it.

Welcome Marsha!  You have made an awesome decision!  I am 10 months out and feel it was by far one of the best decisions I've made in my life.  (I'm in my 50's too and feel like 30 now!!!).  I feel like I can actually participate in live and not jus****ch.  One word of warning with doing this with a friend...you can be support for each other but please don't compare your weight losses to each other.  We all do this at different speeds and our bodies are so different.  I know that Glittergal and Happy cat would agree about that in the beginning so don't let that discourage you at all.  It will come for both of you and your own times!!!  Congrats and let us know if we can help at any time!!!
