When will I start seeing change???
I haven't lost any in the past 2 weeks, and I think I need to update my ticker too... I have had a hard 2 weeks, my daughter is very sick and I have been grazing, turkey and cheese slices. I can't seem to eat much at a meal, but than about 1 hour later I turn to a piece of turkey and slice cheese. Than I have found myself eating to much and too fast, and I go to the restroom to get sick.. I am not seeing any weight drop either, so I am starting to get discouraged too...
Any advice, talks, would be greatly apprecaited..
Thanks in advance,
Sheila

Sounds like you're hungry but not able to get in enough to satisfy.... for me, i would suggest some soup. It will give you nutrition while being easy enough to slide down your belly (if you have a RnY, you have no pyloric valve so wet foods and foods with gravy kinda stuff doesn't stay in the belly very much and so you can eat more of it.)...(just tricking your tummy)
As for being discouraged....we've all been there...maybe you should just treat yourself with a bite of whatever you want with the understanding that you may not depend on it to satisfy you. I'm always here to offer my weird bit of low/no carb help....but hey it takes willpower to complete it and everyone feels weak when there's something we lust after around.....just an idea...
I will preach one thing to you that turned me arund and the ability to finally feel good after surgery...flax-z-snax hot cereal....tastes better than oatmeal...low carbs, amazingly good fo you without any guilt... and you know you need the fiber...and stuff...
just an idea or two for you....like I said, i'll always try to help...

You are probably eating out of stress. I know the feeling. Make sure you are drinking all of your fluids that really helped me between meals. Sit down to eat and go slow. I know that' s hard with a sick kiddo but you don't want to have adverse effects from getting sick too much. I didn't notice how long it has been since your surgery but I had some weeks when I didn't lose much and then the next week I'd drop 10 pounds. I'm 9 mos out now and I look back and I can't believe how much I've lost and how much I have changed. Focus on the goal. Also, just so you know, if you tell Dr. B you've been snacking, he gets this horrified look on his face and says in his best Cajun accent "why?" He looks so sad when he does it that I didn't want to disappoint him again

Your body is still trying to figure out what just happened at this point. Try herbal tea-it's a calorie free stress reliever. It also takes awhile to learn to chew properly and eat slowly-and when I get distracted is when I have the most problems with it. Hang in there kiddo.
I'm thinking Happy Cat will chime in here. She had the absolute longest "stahl" for someone early on. She had her WLS in May and now is over 100#. So, it does and will add up. I know it's hard to see a "stahl" this early on but your body is going through the starvation mode but you know that eating no more than you are you HAVE GOT TO DROP THE WEIGHT and it will be soon..... I'm hoping your daughter is feeling better and the stress is better. I don't think your kind of grazing is that bad especially if you aren't able to eat much at a meal. Don't be so hard on yourself...you cannot fail your tiny tummy this early out!!! No Way Possible!!!
Just because the scale isn't moving doesn't mean there aren't changes ! TAKE PICTURES -- It will help you see that there is a difference. UP THE LIQUIDS when you're tempted to eat. You can't put food in your mouth if it's full of liquid. Hopefully the weather will clear, the kids will start playing outside and you can get on track. Keep you chin up !
