OH CAR INSURANCE
After many years with GEICO, they have made me mad. They raised the insurance on my car $150 because my daughter added her new car. (Yes, the one she wrecked, but they don't know it and aren't, she's going to pay for it out-of-pocket.) I've been checking out quotes and Progressive is the cheapest for the same coverage. Anybody out there use them? What do you think?
Can't help you out on the Progressive thing. We have carried State Farm for (freakin) years because of our agent and don't look to be changing anytime soon.
I have never heard anything bad about them if that helps!
OT: Are you going to group tomorrow night??? Just wondered since I am off, am planning on attending. Friday - same bat time same bat place right??

Lanette, I am an insurance agent. (commercial insurance) but I do know a lot about the various companies out there. Progressive is a good company but there are many advantages to putting your coverage with others. For instance, State Farm will not punish you for your first at fault accident....they forgive it. If you should have another at fault accident before 3 years then they do. Also, when I had my kids on it they would forgive the first ticket but if they should get another ticket before the 3 years (3 years is when a claim/ticket drops off) they they surcharge then for both!! Anyway, there are a LOT of reasons your adult children should be on their own policy and State Farm assigns a specific policy for a specific auto. PM me if you have questions or I'll be at the meeting tonight.
I have Geico and my policy went last year when I moved to this zip code....I am not happy with them at all. I thought that they were cheaper than others but have found out thats not true....I did have Hartford and they were great till my Checy silverado was totaled..now they paid it off but my policy went sky HIGH...So I switched...the accident was considered no fault and NO I was not driving...You would think 27 years of driving with no tickets, no accidents, defensive driving courses I would have acheaper deall....NOT
