Happy Valentine's Day to Me

Long story-I wanted her, someone in line ahead of me took her, I took someone else, but then backed out, feeling it wasn't right-and now Vixen is MINE!!!!!!!!!  She's more than a half sister to Moon, same father, lots of same bloodlines-and she'll be a good addition to my program (which is not breeding, it's trialing only).  She'll also be back up babysitter when I'm out with Moon, that is as soon as she gets over being a baby herself.  I pick her up on the 14th (pictures in NO Snakes folder).

Big brother Moon won't be able to work stock or jumps for several more months, but she won't be ready for another YEAR.  Baby dogs are cute, but it's tough because you have to hurry up and WAIT.  She'll be another smooth coat, like her beautiful brother, and with any luck, one day we'll be able to compete in pairs herding (if I'm still able by the time everyone is old enough....)

Oh my goodness - she is absolutely adorable!  What a face she has!  I can't believe anyone would give her up.  Love the name but love the pup even more!  Hope she doesn't chew up too many things!

Why don't you get her until th 14th?  She too young to be away from momma?

You are one lucky lady!

She's only 5 weeks old, I'm leaving her with Momma until she's 8 weeks to let her get good and established.  The breeder starts her on clicker training so she come pre-programmed for sit/down, etc and I think it makes for a better dog if you can leave them a bit longer.

I really have high hopes for this girl-I have high hopes for Moonie too and I haven't been disappointed yet.

I have my backyard sectioned off now, so having a new puppy will hopefully be easier than when Moon was a baby.  I won't have to mess with a zillion exercise pens to keep everyone isolated by ability and age.

I only had to wait 2 weeks for Moon, I've been waiting for this little girl since before her Mom came into heat.  I don't think I could survive a horse pregnancy.....

Yup, 5 weeks is too young to leave momma.  But she is so stinkin' cute!  You're gonna have puppy breath at your house soon!  I love that!

I've heard of people complaining that their Valentine was a real dog -- but I never heard of one truly being one !!  Congrats, she's a real looker !

Debra, she is so cute.  We just got another boston puppy -- it is my daughter's, and she named him Zander.  BUT, what was this about you not taking in another animal, and I told you I didn't believe you?  Or was that just rescue?  Anyway, with a face like that, who could resist.  Congratulations on your new addition.  Michael
