Chicken test for post WLS peeps

I found this chicken at Sam's.  It's Tyson Terriaki Chicken.  Now this stuff is made from darker thigh meat and is very juicy and tender.  I'm quite addicted to it because it gives me a little of the Chinese food flavor I miss from eating out.  It's just slightly sweet and very succulent especially if warmed in the oven.

The question is have any of you post-WLS ladies and gentlemen tried this and how well do you tolerate it?

I haven't tried this particular chicken, but I have tried other chicken dishes made with Teryaki sauce and I tolarated it well - then again, not much has bothered my so called stomach, since surgery!

I haven't tried this but I've tried many other chicken items with no problem.  The tiny tummy is pretty good.  I only had some issues very, very early post-op.

I love any kind of chicken I can get ahold of and it all goes down great.  I personally love Terriaki and it loves me, Things get easier to eat the further out you get, how far out are you?

Haven't had surgery yet.  Going in for cardio stress tests tomorrow and Friday.  If those are okay, I'll set a date on 2/10.  Let's just hope all is well.

Hey Winn-

I haven't had this specific type, but I have had chicken since surgery (3 weeks ago today) and I didn't have any problems. Be sure to chew well!

Let us know how you enjoy it...

Winne~ I have had no problems with any type of teriyaki (or chinese-type) chicken post-WLS and I'm now almost 5 years out.  In fact, I do good with almost all chicken dishes and seem to do better with dark meat than white meat because it's moister and easier to chew.  You'll learn that pretty fast if you ever get anything stuck (ouchie!).  I haven't had the Sam's type, but I don't see why you'd have any problem's with it once you're on solids again, post-WLS.  Hope that helps!

Dont hit me pleasse! But I worked years ago at Hormel and at a tyson plant...not one of those jobs I would write about..
the deal with them is simple if the meat is not good its still thrown into the vat if it hits the floor its thrown into the vat..if an animal was not perfect...it was still cut up and thrown into the vat....
the canned hams are actually purred meat thenpoured into molds..and the potted meat, vienna sausages...lets just say do you really want to know? Ionly worked there for the summer...
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it
