What were your favorite mushies?

I will be going out this weekend to shop for my up and coming move to the mushies stage and was wondering if anyone had some favorites.  I know eggs, cheese and refried beans are good ones but what else do you enjoy or seem to work well for you.

Thanks,

Jerm

Cottage cheese was and still is one of my favorites.  Early on in the mushie stage I would put a little peaches in it.  Just kind of chew it good or mash them.  I now enjoy it with mandarine oranges.  I like just regular brown beans too.  Early on egges didn't sit well with me.  They seemed to just sit in my throat.  I can eat some now but not my favorite.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Cottage Cheese and refried beans were about all that worked for me.  I ate some eggs and was sick all day.  I tried chicken and that was the first time I threw up.  I love chicken salad, but have been afraid to try it since my chicken incident.

refried fat free beans  fat free cheese puree salsa
progresso soups pureed aand addd protein powder unflavored

Jerm the trick of mushies is let the imagination go wild.
Even now I try stuff that before I would never have thought...

spagetti   i cup whole wheat flour one egg substitute mix together and then add a little water and wallla pasta ..roll it out and cut into what ever size you want..take ground turkey mix it with sauted onion, garlic and bell peppers mix with an egg, ketchup and make meat balls....

Okay I am done now

I stuck with cottage cheese, string cheese, scrambled eggs and, my favorite, refried beans with some cheese.  Anything will taste like a slice of heaven to you!

Jeremy, I read from someones post that they ate Roast Beef Hash from the can during mushies stage. It is over by the spam and canned meats. I am not sure what your Doctor would allow but whomever posted this had it ok'd by their doc. It for 1 cup is 21g of protein, 22 carbs and 24 total fat. It might be worth asking the nutritionist about.

Nope - no roast beef hash for WW patients!!  Definitely not on the list of mushie approved foods.  But some of the other combinations will fit well into the approved foods.

You may find that you need a little more "spice" as you move forward.  A lot of patients tend to follow that direction - not me - but then my little ulcer has a mind of its own so....

keep plugging!  anything will taste good - just remember VERY SMALL bites, take your time - lots of time - and stop if you need to!!  Don't worry about the protein amount the first week or so you will need more as you progress but get the chewing down and then worry about the rest.  All of the foods on the approved list are protein based so you should be okay!
