Dr. Oz gives the thumbs up on WLS

Interesting Oprah series the last 2 days on teenage obesity. In the last 2 minutes of the show one of the teens asked about WLS. Dr. Oz gave it a thumbs up with the stiputalion that the real cause of hunger was addressed (emotional) and nutritional rules were followed afterward.
Even though it came out at the end, it's a good change to see a positive view of it on national TV.

Did anyone else see the show?

Yes it was a good show.  I actually had my two boy's sit down and watch it so that they can see how easy it is to put weight on and continue and what problems it can cause.  Hopefully some of those teens on the show will be able to get some help or at least start making better food choices.

I had to work today so I didn't see the show today.  I did see a little part of yesterday's show that comes on again at 11PM and what I did see was heart breaking!

But I do love Dr Oz!  I'm glad he said something positive!

Stephanie - happy to see you posting.  I hope your tummy is treating you better!

I watched both days of the show and I was impressed.  I'm watching The Drs right now and they talked a littled bit about the Lap Band, but that's the only surgery they mentioned.  I wish they would talk about the sleeve more.  It's been life-changing for me!

In Dr. Oz's Book "You on a Diet" He states that if you feel that Gastric Bypass surgery is the way for you to go, then by all means, do so.  Whatever it takes to get you where you need to be.
