My daughter got a new car last Tuesday.  2008 Chevy Impala, on which I co-signed.  Come home from work, she's fighting with her boyfriend.  She decides she needs a Coffee from 7-11 to calm her down.  I suggest she not get out because of the ice.  She goes anyway.  Of course, she wrecks her car on the way home.  Now we have to decide whether to make her drive it wrecked until she can pay to have it fixed or claim it on our insurance, which I'm sure would go up as a result.  I think I'll go ride my bike, otherwise I'll probably wreck my car going to buy cookies, which I can't eat anyway !!!  ARG !!!

Man, that is the pits!  I'm so sorry that happened and to a new car to boot!  Take that anger and frustration out on your bike and make it a win situation for you!  Hugs to you!

Sweetie, if she is old enough to drive old enough to make decisions and not listen to you..then she is old enough to pay for her mistake...
The best lesson I learned was when I drove my new pickup into a ditch...and had to pay a wrecker over 75.00 to pull me out...FOr me that was huge amount of money since my paycheck was only like a few bucks more...found out later if that my Dad told thr wrecker owner to charge me..on my insurance policy I had wrecker service on it....OOPS
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

I'm right there with you.  My 18 yr old son is taking a friend home so his mother wouldn't have to get out.  I told him that he could spend the night here but he has younger sisters and the mom needs him home so he can watch them tomorrow.  Of course, not enough to drive over here!

I feel for ya!  Those tough lessons are the hardest to learn.  Sometimes they are harder for momma!

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me." Erma Bombeck
