Lovelorn (OT)
Let me just start by saying the only reptiles I like touching are turtles. That being said, my husband made me co-habitate with a green iguana named Sandra, for 4 years. She started out as a small 6 inch lizard to a 6 foot long monster.
I did grow fond of her and feed her and cleaned out her habitat (mostly because hubby worked all the time and I felt sorry for her) but we never developed a huggy-kissy relationship.
I was always afraid that she would escape from her habitat and would get into a fight with our momma cat because the lizard would charge the window everytime the kittens walked by. One day I walked into the room and the lizard had escaped but she had gotten cold on the floor and she was moving slow and there were the kittens just jumping on her and playing with her tail. Never had a problem with her escaping again.
Oh and FYI, we knew she was a she because she laid eggs once a year.
