Question about your weight loss.....

When you are counting your loss do you go by the weight at first consult or from the day of surgery?  I go by my weight at the Seminar which is where OWLO first weighed me and what we reported to insurance to get approval I know I worked hard to lose that weight required to get my surgery. I am just curious I see alot of signatures that give them all I was just curious about how we each count our loss.

I count my weight loss from my highest weight ever.  Before the two weeks of liquids, etc.  But I am sure that others may count from a different number.  I prefer my highest weight because that tells me how far I have come in the most clear way.

Sarah~  I don't have a weight loss ticker (mine are of my 2 post op babies), but you'll notice on my signature I mention all my "weights" from highest weight to consult to surgery to now to my goal.  When I had a weight loss ticker up, it was from my highest weight with a note that said 28 lbs lost before surgery.  Hope that helps~ *hugs*

I count every last stinking pound I have lost so I go by my highest weight.  I had started losing weight before my first appt at weight wise.

Ty I was curious, as to how each counted I was actually higher at one point where my PCP weighed me in at 420lbs but I use for my ticker what I was when I went to the seminar because to be truthful I wasn't sure my pcps scales were that accurrate since they would vary 5-10 lbs in a few minutes.

I also did like Sassy and used the one before the liquid diet. I didnt have to lose a certain amount before hand so it was the same even during the consultation.

i didn't weigh before surgery so I just used what I weighed on surgery day.  I probably lost a few pounds right before surgery, but since I didn't know about them I don't worry about them...LOL.

Now, when I was getting close to that 100 pound mark, I thought about going back to a higher verified weight, but then I realized, a pound or two a few years ago isn't what matters, it's the pounds I weigh NOW.

I went by the weight at my highest before surgery...consult with the surgeon.  Heck, they were all pounds that had to be lost is the way I figure it!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!
