It is shocking-but when I moved back it actually made me feel a little better to have it verified. I was really down on myself for feeling terribly judgmental, so when they confirmed what I thought I was seeing was true, I didn't feel quite so bad.
We have so many fun things to do that are great calorie burners, it's a shame-but hopefully people will start getting outside more and staying out of the drive through (we also have more fast food per capita than most other cities, at least that true of OKC.)
I'm doing better about keeping things that don't spoil (nuts, ostrich jerky, etc) in the truck because my life is such that I DO get away from home and get hungry, but there really aren't that many good options.
I was in Purcell the other day and stopped at Braums-but I got some cottage cheese! Still, it's not easy to eat cottage cheese and drive. 7-11 has started stocking some better choices, and the truck stops along the highway usually always have fruit and cheesesticks.

Hi Dan,
I don't know about the "Fattest Cities" thing. We can grow them pretty big up here too! :) I do think it all depends on what articles one reads. There could be many different folks writing information that feeds these things. And it also depends on where the author(s) are getting their source material.
BTW - you look great in your new avatar and I love the cowboy hat! Obviously, you have been working very hard and it certainly shows.
Unfortunately, we almost never ever see cowboy hats up here. Bummer.
All the Best and Huggs Too,
