I'm Home
I got released from the hospital yesterday and so far I am not doing too bad. I am coughing up a lot of phlegm and it has some blood in it so I called Dr. B and am waiting to hear back from him. Other than the pain in my side and being tired I am doing pretty good.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words before my big day. I really appreciated it!

Hi Jennifer!
YAYYYYY you're home! So only two nights in the hospital? Sounds great! I just had my seminar on 1/14 and I will be attending the support group meeting 1/29 in Edmond, will you be there? I'd love to hear more about your decision on which surgery to have, how long it took you from your initial visit to surgery, etc. I hope the bloody phlegm isn't going to become an issue--please be sure and post when you hear back from Dr B.
It's all going to be SO worth it! I am pure envious right now!
I am trying to decide between Lap-Band and the VGS.
Rest up and get well soon!

Jennifer, Welcome Home. As we discussed yesterday, coughing up some brown or blood tinged sputum is normal after surgery, because of the tube that was in between your vocal cords, that was used to breathe for you while you were outfor the surgery. Unless there is a lot of it or it is bright bright red it is perfectly normal. Hope this helps, Rita
Congratulations Jennifer!! It looks like you already got your answer but I just wanted to say hi and I'm so glad everything went okay. I noticed it says on your profile that you had a VGB, is that a typo or a different surgery than the VSG? Just curious if weight wise is doing a new surgery.
