One month!

I can't believe it has already been a month since I had surgery.  I am down 15 lbs., I thought it would be more, but I guess with the complications it didn't happen as quickly.  That's a total of 49 total, so I'm not complaining.  I will be taking pictures later today, I want to compare because I can't tell by looking in the mirror.

Is it worth everything I've gone through?  Heck yes, even if I had known about the complications that I was going to have, I'd do it again!

Hugs,
Marsha

Congrats! Taking pics does help. When i was about 3 weeks out I took some "after" pics and I could really see in the pics what I could not see in the mirror.....Keep up the good work.

Congrats Marsha!  I know you must be so excited.  The pictures are so important.  My husband took pictures and still does about once a month.  I had a hard time "seeing" the weight loss for me and then I took several months worth of pictures and had them developed....oh my!  It really helped me to be able to look at them.  I still see the "old me" when I look in the mirror but maybe one day my head will catch up.  Be sure and post your pictures so we can all share with you and your excitement and the new sexy you!!!!  You go girlfriend!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

You have to realize too that those 49 won't  come back. They are your past now...I think 15lbs in one month is amazing! You are doing great!
Keep up the good work! It is also encouraging to know that though you think the WL is slow, you would do it again. For us that are preop. that helps us alot in our decision!

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me." Erma Bombeck

marsha you are doing great..only time complications can slow you down is when they are back to back or require surgery and you are unable to exercise...

Thanks so much Mama Hen.  I hadn't thought of 1/2 a day, but that kind of puts it into perspective.  I can tell more in my clothes now that I have revved up the exercise.
