Hello everyone I just wanted to drop in and say hello, I have some wonderful news that my mommy dearest thinks I need to brag about.  I am almost 5 months out come February 5 and I am down 80lbs as of this morning...... I could hardly believe it myself wow thats all I have to say.  I am just wondering how everyone is and how lifes been treating you wonderful people?  I am doing really well we are living back with mom and dad to get some bills payed off and some stuff in order.  It has been good for me because I have been able to see my mom as much as I want so thats awesome, and I know she loves it to. I know this is the place for questions now heres mine....  I need somemore ideas for how to get loose skin on the lower stomach to go AWAY its keeping me from at least two pant sizes.  ANY IDEAS????

I can tell you this skin does not shrink. Sorry when you are obese and the skin stretches it can not go back like elasticity..some can exercise and say it helps but the only way to get rid of it....is a panni or tummy tuck or abdmoniplasty yikes I hate when I spell stuff wrong..

I know the feeling of the pants..before I had my tt I was wearing 24 with the tt I went down to a 18
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Congratualtions Lissa, You have done so well. I am proud of you.As far as the loose skin goes, well it doesn't go away. Not unless you have lots of money that is. Unfortunately it's ours to keep. I look at it this way, it is better than the other way it was before surgery. You look awesome. Be sure and stop by and see me when you come up. Hugs, Rita

Hey Melissa~ Congrats on the 80 lbs!  You've done great!  Unfortunately, I have to agree with the others here... the only way to really get rid of that problem loose tummy skin is a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty/panniculectomy) and it's not a cheap surgery.  You have done wonderful though and you need to keep telling yourself that, regardless of the skin issue.  It's better than the alternative (being your starting weight again), that's for sure!  *hugs*

AWESOME!  No magic tricks on the tummy though....just plug the old piggy bank!!!  At least the tummy isn't full anymore.  I find that the right undergarment makes a big difference too.  At least it holds it tight and it doesn't jiggle. LOL

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Congratulations-you are doing well.  Don't let that tummy get in the way of how well you are doing!

Debbie (Fleemore) brought up a good point on the loose skin~ you could always try a body slimmer.  Jockey makes a good one, so does Spanx and Dr Rey.  You can find them anywhere from Macys to JcPenneys to Sears to Target to WalMart and everything in between, and you can find them at all different colors and prices.  Just find the one that would work best with the clothes you wear.  I found they seemed to "tuck and hide" the skin.  I liked them a lot, especially the Spanx.  Hope that helps ~ *hugs*

I BOUGHT NEW PANTIES FINALLY AND I BOUGHT SOME THAT FIT AND I HAVE NOTICED THAT THEY HOLD IN MY "FLAB" BETTER THAN ILL-FITTING PANTIES. AND NEW UNDERWEAR JUST MAKES ME FEEL GOOD AND SASSY!!
