What have you found... ???
If you are pre-op... what is something that you are very much looking forward to doing once you feel better and have the energy and ump back to get out there and achieve it?

My favorite past time now is just getting out in public with my family and just being a family without the restraints of mom running out of breath. I noticed a huge difference and was able to do more with them within a few months of surgery. I now am eargly waiting for my back to heal so that I dont have that hanging over my head and holding me back!
Love and hugs to all~

Do a little research-different bikes are better for different issues. Recumbent bikes are known to be good for back problems, but they freak me out. I have a recumbent stationary bike, and I do love it, but the one time I got on one that you pedal I never pedaled it, I hollered "get me OFF this thing"
When you are bigger (and you already are not) I reccomend a cruiser type bike-you can even get seats with a back rest-it's like sitting in a chair.
I have a mountain bike and a hybrid road bike (lighter than a mountain bike, not as light as a road bike) and I like them both. I've had full on road bikes, and I thought they were the least comfortable-I paid a lot of money for a good one and then rarely rode it so I sold it.
For weight loss riding, the mountainbike with nubby tires is probably better than a hybrd-you have to work harder to pedal, even on cement. I usually ride my mountainbike around here, and take the hybrid out when I'm going for distance.
I will try that when I go to NC next week. One of my best friends still own horses and we have already talked about going riding... Her hubby has my riding stuff still. He went and got it from my ex when we broke up.....Kinda funny I got the riding stuff and he lost the ranch....
I enjoy not snoring and stuff.... ummm...I can kitesurf now....ummm...other than that i do the same things....I still think no snoring is the best.... although i can get some wicked air in kite surfing from a blast of wind that takes me 50 foot in the air...fun, but I'm still a beginner and hey...I'm too old to break any bones...so I'm not down for that kinda action...
hehe
