Hello friends, need your advice
Good Morning everyone!
I know....I know...I haven't posted in ages but I still lurk around here once in awhile just to keep up with my friends in OK. I am doing just fine, amazingly healthy and loving my weight loss. Everyday is more fun. Who knew that at 50 I would feel like 30? Life has so much more potential!
Now....I am think about the future, this next year I want to find a surgeon for my overhaul of the bod.I am thinking sometime this fall. I need a body lift, augmentation and some other nips and tucks. I have already consulted with the ONLY doc that I would consider here in Amarillo. I would like to consider a surgeon in OKC. Have any of you had surgery with a doctor that you could recommend? Or know of one that has a excellent reputation? I would appreciate any input, positive or negative.
Thanks in advance for your post. God bless you all.

Dr. Schwan comes highly recommended from WeightWise. They have another who works with them but I'm thinking most I know have used Dr. Schwan. They say his work is awesome and he's a very nice man. I have friends who are in this process now with consults etc. One will have a surgery in February. He actually does his procedures for the WLS patients at WeightWise and I believe they make the facility more affordable for us. You might check on him. I believe he even does consults on Saturdays. You could probably get to him through WeightWise's website or give them a call and they can give you his information and number. Good luck. I hope I'm ready for this next year as well...I've got to get my money together first!!$$$
There are 2 plastic surgeons that I know do their surgery at WeightWise and they are both supposed to be fabulous! Their names are not just regular type names so I can't remember them but someone will chime in here and give them to you. I would be really sold on the fact that they use WW to do the surgery because it is such a specialized hospital and no infection rates.
I'm with you though! I'm going to be thumbing through the old plastic surgery catalog as soon as I get closer to goal!

Just to give you another option......the only plastic surgery I've had (so far) is a breast reduction several years ago. It was done by Dr. Tim Love here in OKC. He has since that time, opened his own surgical facility right below his offices. He's in that Lakeside area at Hefner Rd & Lake Hefner Parkway. When I had my surgery - all the nurses at the outpatient surgery center (including a friend of mine that works there) refer to him as "an artist".
You can add Dr. Love to your list if you are still looking for more options & opinions. I know I'll be using his services again when this weight loss is over.

Dr. Sawan is one who does PS at Weight Wise. I have seen him before for a consult, personally I didn't like him, but I know he's a good surgeon. His office is at OU Medical Center. I love Weight Wise, but I will go back to Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas to see Dr. Pin who did my panni two years ago. I believe you have to have rapport with your doctor for your surgery to be successful, and I felt no rapport with Dr. Sawan, all I felt was humiliation with him. I know Brandy at WW had some surgery from Dr. Sawan, you might contact her.
