Tomorrow is my surgery (VSG)
Jennifer it os so normal to be nervous the night before. But you are in great hands and will be back here soon posting on how great you are doing. Oh yeah don't forget to pack your carmex or chapstick for after surgery. the oxygen and not drinking for awhile chaps your lips big time. I will keep you in my prayers tomorrow.
Nope! They won't let you use Carmex or chap stick at Weight Wise. I needed it so badly, they brought me some KY!
It's natural to feel nervous, but you have an awesome doctor, you're going to an awesome hospital, and there is an awesome staff there to take care of you. You're taking a step that you won't ever forget!
Good luck and I'll be praying for you tomorrow morning!
Hugs,
Marsha

Words of wisdom? Let me think...you are a beautiful girl who is taking control of her life! You are going to be one happy, bouncy gal! (well, not so bouncy anymore!)
It's so normal to be nervous but you are in such great hands. The next few weeks are the "weird" ones but once you and your new tummy figure each other out, all will be well. Just know that after tomorrow, the tiny tummy is the one after control. For me, that was a good thing since I wasn't doing a very good job!
Bring your own jammies so you can change after surgery. That was a must for me anyway. Bring your own pillow! I brought a magazine and a book and never touched them.
Do what the doc and the nurses tell you to do and it'll be smooth sailing. Oh, and get up and walk as much as possible. They will make you do it but the more you do it, the faster you will feel better. Besides, I had to do it so you have to also! And drink lots and lots of water. It'll be weird that you have to take such tiny sips but I promise that gets better too.
My last piece of advice? Embrace the whole process because it is amazing!!!
Contact any of us if you need anything at all. I'm guessing your mom is coming with you?

How Exciting!!! I'm very happy that your big day is almost here.
You will do awesome. I took my favorite pillow & a blanket I love too. It was comforting to have those. Honestly, the whole thing goes so fast & the drugs are pretty good ones....if you are like me you'll be headed back home by the time you can stay awake more than 15 minutes straight.
Be sure to bring some comfy clothes to wear home (I wore yoga pants). I didn't need or use half the stuff I packed. Relax, try to get a good night's sleep and know that you will be in our thoughts & prayers.

Wooo hoooo hoo! Here comes the big day. And what a fabulous time of year to lose weight, you'll be looking smokin hot by summer. Even if you are not at goal by then, it is known fact that you develop an air of smoking hotness as soon as you lose an appreciable amount of weight. I'm sure of it.
Words of wisdom-FOLLOW DR. ORDERS.
Jennifer~ Best of luck on your VSG surgery tomorrow! We're all saving room for you here on the loser's bench!
It's perfectly normal to feel nervous, but I know you will be ok. You are in the hands of very skilled surgeons and staff who will make this part of the ride as easy and painless as possible for you. As for words of wisdom, drink lots of water and walk as soon as they will let you. Bring your own comfy jammies to sleep in and something comfortable to wear home. Perhaps bring a laptop, cell phone & charger, and maybe a magazine or 2. Don't forget your own hygeine products if they will make you feel better than using what the hospital would provide.
Keep us posted on your outcome! *hugs*

Hi, Jennifer.
Congratulations on taking the next big step on your journey to a healthier you. You will be fine, as, in my opinion, you're going to the best place for WLS. Everyone is so caring and wonderful, from the surgeons to the cleaning crew. I love them all.
May God's angels surround you, and may you feel their presence. May you go to sleep with a smile on your face and wake up the same way.
Blessings,
Mary
