My alarm went off at 5:00 and I hit snooze.  It went off again and I hit snooze again.  Then I thought about you guys and how I didn't want to tell you I failed so...I got my butt out of bed and went to the gym!  It was intimidating but I did it. I walked 20 minutes on the treadmill and 5 minutes of hell on the eliptical and then 15 on the bike doing the arm things too.  Oh my word my legs felt like jello walking to my car.  Tomorrow will be tough because I have school tonight and won't get home until 10:30 p.m. and then have to be up at 5:00 a.m. again.  I can do it!!!

CONGRATS ON GETTING UP AND AROUND AND GOING TO THE GYM! YOU WILL FEEL BETTER IN THE LONG RUN. I KNOW IT IS NOT EASY GETTING UP EARLY BUT YOU WILL GET USED TO IT. I USUALLY GO IN THE AFTERNOON AFTER I GET OFF WORK AND BEFORE MY SON IS DONE AT FOOTBALL.SOMETIMES I DON'T GET MY WHOLE 45 MINUTES TO AN HOUR IN BUT I FEEL LIKE SOME IS BETTER THAN NONE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Awesome!!  I am also not able to get up any earlier so that I can work out before school.  So I joined my water aerobics class again last week.  It's at 5:30 in the afternoon, so that gives me just enough time to get home, change into my swim suit and get to the pool.  I love the water!

Way to go on your commitment to exercise.

Hugs,
Marsha

Yay!!!!

You really will feel better in just a few days. I know this sounds crazy, but you will start to love it! Set yourself goals, long term and short term. It really will help especially on those days when its really hard to get motivated. Mine short term goals were things like keeping my heartrate in the upper cardio range for 15 minutes then 20 minutes, burning 300 calories, walking 2 miles uphill, etc. My long term goals are to run in a marathon this year, either the relay or the quarter. To get there, I have to train and train. I'm going to run in smaller races along the way. I'm hoping to run in a 5k in March (I was hoping for Feb but with this cold I have that just isn't going to happen).

Keep it up! I am so proud of you!

What an awesome thing you are doing! There is no way I would get up thst early...years of doing that to feed horses just has made me say  no way! My getting up around 7 or 8 and then exercising is fine for me.
As I posted once before I have my bands and stepper in front of the tv it can not be turned on til I do my ciseing.
I know you are doing a great thing! Keep it up

OK sis, you have inspired me (again)! I am going to search out a water aerobics class and get moving.  I just wish you didn't have to wear a swimsuit to do it!!!

Congrats on your new habbit!  I have been getting up and doing 20 mins on a high level on my elliptical.  (I HATE the treadmill!) I'm going to try to get to join the gym too.  I am worn out by the time 5:30 in the afternoon gets here from chasing kids all day.  But I notice I have lots more energy when I exercise in the AM.
Keep on Keepin on!!!  You can do it!!!

I am a major league dork for doing this, but I bought some of those foil stars at Wal-Mart and put them on a calendar for every half hour that I exercise.  It's easy to see when you've done well, and makes you eager to cover up some blank real estate when you haven't done so well.   It gives you a chance to compete with yourself - say, for consecutive days you've exercised.  My current streak is 7 days with two or more stars per day.
