I am joining Curves today, and although I did Curves a few years ago with good results, I was wondering if anyone else is going to Curves and what kind of results?  I am just wondering if I would do better at Mademoiselle or Tan and Tone?  Just want to join the right one.  Also, I don't want to have to sign a full year membership....Curves has a special right now, buy 5 months get one free (prepaid), which isn't bad.

Thanks!!!

Marie

Make sure you check with your local curves to be sure they aren't closing soon. The 2 curves centers close enough for me to go to have both been closed down with not much notice. I would hate for you to prepay and then they close.

Marie I have a friend that goes to tan and tone she pays like 72 a month...I would check out the prices on both and see what gives the best deal. there a few gyms that will let you pay for each visit instead of a bulk membership
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

I go to the Curves that is about 12 miles from me.  It is convenient and when I'm finished I can go right on home.  I try to stop there on my way home from work at least 3 times a week.  I joined back in April right after my WLS.  I believe it has helped me a great deal.  I just know that for me the 30 minute work out is duable and I WILL do that.  I also walk and do the recumbant bike at home.  I pay about $35 per month and signed a 1 year contract.

Let me start by saying...it's my opinion, so take this with a grain of salt!

I had a Curves membership a couple of years ago. I got BORED!  and didn't feel like I was making much progress.

I joined the Y in September and LOVE it.  I attend Water Aerobics 3 to 4 times a week but can always do something different if I want.  The cost is very similar to what I paid for Curves.

Good luck in your decision,
Lori

I think I would love the variation you get at the YMCA.  I wish I had one close to my home and I would probably switch for a while at least!
