WOW moments
I posted this over on the men's forum. There, we call the WOW moments a "F.A.R.T." Stands for fantastic, awesome, (can't remember the R), and tremendous. Since we tend not to use that word here, will use the WOW word. Both relate to me:
- Went under 300 lbs after weighing this morning! Scale was 297!! What a freakin thrill for me, since I never imagined I could be under 400 lbs at one time, much less 300. Haven't weighed under 300 lbs for 20 years or more. Yes, Glitter, I weighed, so forgive me.
- I have posted this before here, but I feel worth repeating: went to Taco Bell a couple of weeks ago where my daughter works, and I actually sat in a booth. My daughter came out to the lobby, saw me, and flashed her heart-melting smile, and said "Your sitting in a booth!" She is 18 and has never seen me sitting in a booth. She told my son, who is 25, and he made the same comment -- that he has never seen me in a booth.
- Bought my first shirt from WalMart.
- My wife is so tired of still seeing me in my 6x shirts hanging off me, especially after seeing the WalMart shirt on me, that she took me out and bought me some clothes. Have gone from a 6x to 3x shirt; from a 64" pant to a 54"; got a 2x sweater. She has ordered that I give away my original clothes. Will keep a shirt and a pant for prosperity.
- Don't need seat belt extenders in our cars anymore, and my stomach doesn't touch the steering wheel.

Michael Muffin - I'm so proud of you! And so happy for you! These are all amazing WOW moments! (though I think I'm gonna prefer FART momemts as soon as I know what that is!)
There will be so many more of these face splitting grin moments that you won't believe it! And, yes, keep the 1 pants and 1 shirt so that we never forget how far we have come. (and that we'll never be back!)
I hope your tiny tummy is treating you better these days. Keep on chuggin!
PS I just LOVE these kinds of posts
PPS You are allowed to weigh. No way could I have avoided the scale as close to surgery date as you are. (MommaHen is amazing me!!!)

Kim, I think it is because I was so used to hating to see what my scales said that it is easierto avoid and well I am still huge but getting smaller everyday. My clothes tell me so. LOL I started out at 407 and well I know I have lost alot but I am always terrified that I will get on that scales and it will say I am 400lbs again and that this is all a dream, and I am still waiting for approval like I did for so long. Does that make sense to anyone else? I was starting to want to check the scales all the time but also hit a readjustment period and got scared of getting on them. I know I am dropping but am also afraid it is in my head. (Yeah I have talked about this with a therapist) So in a way your challenge came at a good time for me. I had skipped going to our family counslour through all of this and just went back last week so I know it is getting very I am losing she was amazed, but I am still that insecure about my weight fat girl I have been for so long.
I understand what you are saying! I still think of myself as that huge girl. I went to Sam's yesterday and it's so easy to over purchase. I mean, I just can't eat that much anymore but I can't convince my brain of that.
But I can assure you that this is no dream! This is your future and it is very real. You are fabulous!
