I actually joined a gym!!!! Big step for me!! I need your help.
Good for you !!!!!! Go slow and listen to you body , if you feel tired then stop , it will be a slow gradual process, you might not believe this , but i actually look forward to going now !! Dont worry about that other people look like or what they are doing , just do you thing and celebrate every minute you increase . i love the eliptical but when i first started i couldnt go 2 mins either , but i didnt give up . Just remember everyone has to start somewhere , and just know you look just a good as anyone there , Good Luck ,,,,,,,,,Luanne

Amy, I am so excited for you. I know you will keep it up, just don't call me on the way to the gym! I have the exact same feelings as you. I have so many fears of the gym rats, and their perfect bods, and here comes me in. Even though I can't afford a gym right now, I wouldn't even know what to wear, which sounds really stupid, but I do NOT, NOT, NOT, wear T-shirts -- too many rolls, and embarrassed to wear shorts, and sweats seem like they would be too hot, especially in the spring/summer. Ok, don't laugh, I spent a lot of time with these rationilizations, but they are true. Good luck though, I am pulling for you. Michael
CAN YOU READ WHILE YOU ARE ON THE ELIPTICAL OR TREADMILL? MY GYM HAS THESE BOOK HOLDERS THAT YOU CAN USE WHILE DOING CARDIO. IT MAKES THE TIME GO BY FASTER FOR ME.I DO GET BORED SO I HAVE CUT MY CARDIO DOWN TO ABOUT 1 DAY A WEEK AND WEIGHT TRAIN THE OTHER DAYS. GOOD LUCK AND STAY WITH IT. YOU WILL FEEL SO MUCH BETTER AND YOUR ENERGY LEVEL WILL INCREASE!
