I actually joined a gym!!!! Big step for me!! I need your help.

You have no idea what a huge step is was for me to even walk into a gym.  I was so nervous.  All those cute skinny people were working out and I felt like everyone was staring at me.  I know they probably were not but it felt like it.  I haven't had an issues with still feeling like I was 350 until this.  I felt like I was huge even though I have lost 120 lbs.  I'm sure its just because of the intimidating situation.  I feel "skinny" again now! LOL!

I had my consultation and did the treadmill, bike, and eliptical.  I'm so out of shape that I was worn out after a few minutes!

So, now here is where I need your help.  I am putting myself out there to ask everyone to help with accountability.  The only slice of time I have to work out is from 5:30 to 6:20 a.m. Mon - Fri.  Tomorrow morning is my first morning so I know that by telling your guys what I am supposed to do it will ensure that I don't back out.

Good Job Amy!!!! You will be more and more comfortable with going to the gym as time goes on! The first time I got on an elliptical I did 2 minutes!!!! You'll get there!

I needed to hear that because I only did 2 minutes today!!!  LOL!  I'm going to try for 5 minutes tomorrow.  How sad!!  But I'm glad to know that you were in the same situation, it makes me feel better!

i so hate the eliptical!!! I got on there and I don't even think I made it to 2 min! I have not stepped back on that thing. I was so embarrassed by it! I could do 2 miles on the bike then 2 on the treadmill but that darn elliptical nearly killed me....My trainer at the time said....ok go 2 min...after 30 sec I was asking if it had been 2 min yet! 2 min is a start....I guess....I just can't face it yet!!2 min is like an hour to me right now! lol

I know exactly how you felt!  My thighs were burning after 30 seconds!

I hate the elliptical.  It makes my right knee hurt really, really bad and I don't have knee problems.  I don't know what's up with that!  It's supposed to have less impact on your knees that walking but that's not true for me.  Maybe I'm doing it wrong?

But for me, it is really hard work!  Well, duh, I guess that's the point but I'm not a fan!

Good for you, Amy. I'm proud of you for going into a gym, and I know you will be faithful to enter often. I'm sure you'll be amazed how quickly you'll work up to more time and how good it will feel (after the soreness wears off, of course).
