(OT) Gonna be a GRANDMA!!

Yay, me!

My daugher called me on Friday to share the news. I'm gonna be a grandma on July 24, 5 days before my baby girl's birthday. Soooooooooo, no summer school for me. I'm gonna be on grandma patrol!

I have a feeling I'm going to be burning up I-35 North to Enid every chance I get.

You're so right on that, Nanny! I spent the weekend in Enid..got back last night. Anyway, I went to Uptown Thrift..what a great place. I bought gender neutral outfits (2) and several tops for my daughter. Any pink maternity tops came home with me for her. I currently am bidding on eBay on a pair of Dale Earnhardt baby tennis shoes.

I'm also in the market to find a Dale Earnhardt car seat for my Durango.

She gets her first sonagram on the 28th and we should know what it is then. This was a total surprise. We got  "cruise baby." They took their honeymoon a year late and went to Puerto Rico and St. Thomas. I don't care. It's a good surprise.

That's awesome news! I can testify that being a grandmother is the best! I have 6 grandchildren and another one due in May. As I always say, "Grandchildren are God's reward for not having killed your kids!" :)

Congrats!!!  Being a grandma is AWESOME!!!  It's so true that we enjoy our grandchildren so much more than our kids!!!!  We can spoil them rotten and send them home with Mom and Dad for their total resonsibility!!!  You're going to love every minute of it.  Your new avatar is awesome.  You need to come around once in a while to our support group...I know you're probably going to the graduate group but I miss you!!!

Congratulations!! Nothing beats being a Grandma!! It is such a blessing! I have 11 and they are all the best thing in the world!!   My six year old grandson just won 1st place in the 49 lb bracket, in the Tulsa Nationals Wrestling tournament this weekend. I am quite a proud Grammy!
You will have so many wonderful proud moments too!!

Fleemore, I haven't gone to the grad group yet. I've been so busy at school that I haven't done anything except come home and crash at night. My sister-in-law was at support group last Thursday. Heck, she was the one who told me we had gone to weeklies.

She got confused there and didn't ask questions until she got home to ask me. I can't go this week due to late night library which means I work from 7:15 am until 7:30 pm without a break. So, next week will have to do. I've missed the dinners, too. I miss all of you and really need to get caught up with everyone.
