My father in law passed away. He was sitting in the recliner and just fell over.

MY PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS ARE GOING OUT TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.  IT IS SO HARD TO GIVE UP A LOVED ONE AND VERY HARD TO DO SO WHEN IT COMES UNEXPECTED.

PRAYING FOR U,
CANDEE

Candee, thanks so much. It was very unexpected. My stepson called and said get over here quick. We dropped everything and went. We got there and the ambulance was there and the paramedic was working on him, but we could tell by looking at him ( and the heart monitor defibrillator) that it was too late. My mother in law said he got up and fixed a glass of tea, sit down and then just slumped over in the chair. She was so upset. It was an awful sight. My husband is taking it pretty well. My kids are already missing their grandpa especially my daughter. I just feel kind of hollow.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as well. I lost my Mom 8 years ago in a much similar way. I still miss her terribly but what has always helped me was knowing that she did not suffer.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Emily, and for your family. While the death of a loved one is never an easy thing, expected or not expected, I pray that it will be some comfort that your father-in-law passed away without pain.
Blessings,
Mary
