I want all the newbies and preop's on here to know they are so welcome! My daughter has sent a new member to this board to get aquainted. She is a lapbander and I am sure she will be posting soon. I just want to say.....
You may read a couple posts that feel differently about posting when you haven't had your surgery yet, , such as this one....I myself have had this thrown at me a few times lately.

"Some that are trying to educate others are some that hasnt even have the surgery and for me that gets kinda frustrating when we are all or should all be listening to our drs to begin with."

Please know that this is not the majority of this wonderful board!  That is their opinion and it is welcome to be expressed.

Anything you should want to share or offer up as your views will be treated with respect. Your questions are never dumb and there are never any questions you need to refrain from asking, even if it is in an PM. Your ideas, thoughts, fears and anything you want to share are welcome!  We are so glad you have joined and are now a part of this OH home!

If you haven't had your surgery, then you are like me in that you need the emotional support. If you have had the surgery, then you will have issues that come up from time to time that you would like to see if it is normal or if  anyone has had it. This board can offer comfort too when you just need to talk. We have had births, deaths, and all events on here. We all share reguardless of your surgery statis.

Though I haven't had my surgery, I have come here many times for advice or to rant and to offer information on things, I do know about!  It is open for EVERYONE! I don't have to have had surgery to meet new friends or to support and encouragement to others on here.

Nothing can, nor should take the place of your Doctors or nutritionists advice. Common since says that, but this is a home to come to when you need it. As a member of this board. I can say welcome no matter which phase of WLS you are in.
Welcome Everyone!

SHERRY,

IT ISN'T THAT YOU CANNOT CONTRIBUTE ANYTHING TO THIS BOARD BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T HAD SURGERY.  YOU ARE NOW BEING REDICULOUS.  JUST BECAUSE EVERYONE DOESN'T AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAY DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU CAN'T POST.

LIKEWISE, JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE EVERYTHING YOU READ DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO LASH OUT AT WHOEVER POSTED IT.  WE ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO POST HERE WHETHER WHAT WE POST ABOUT IS AGREED UPON BY EVERYONE OR NOT.

MAYBE YOU SHOULD LEARN TO TAKE WHAT YOU WILL AND LEAVE THE REST.  THE PROBLEM COMES WHEN YOU PLAY DOCTOR.  YOU ARE A CONTROL FREAK.  YOU KEEP BEATING THE DEAD DOG.    IF YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING, SKIP OVER IT AND MOVE ON.  IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO LIVE BY IT.

WHEN YOU ARE POST-OP (IF YOU EVER DO GET SURGERY) YOU GO AHEAD AND DO WHAT YOU WANT AND LIVE HAPILY EVER AFTER.  IN THE MEANTIME, CHILL OUT AND STOP SHOWING YOUR A$$
