I hereby pledged (on another thread) to create and develop and produce a plate of high fiber no sugar coconut macaroons before our next dinner and bring said plate to the dinner (along with the macaroons of course). I'll even work out the ingredient list and enter it on the daily plate and get the nutritional values (my pet peeve is all those "yummy protein ball recipes" that have like a zillion calories per serving)

No low cal ones-I once mixed up a protein ball with peanut butter and spirutena-it was about the size of a golf ball and had about 300 calories in it.....LOL. Most of the recipes I saw were similar, just adding protein powder to lots of peanut butter-no way around high calories going that route.
My 100 calorie protein "ball" is just a tablespoon of peanut butter. I've never had a real peanut butter problem-it can be a dangerous trigger food for some people so keep it in your house at your own peril.
I found a version at Walmart called naturally more that has Flax seed and Flaxseed oil added for a healthy boost of Omegas 3 and 6 and low carb as well and I have done that a couple times ok. hmmm may need to experiment with adding some protien to it. On another note I have/had several samples of teh Spirutien I got at the health food store on Classen before surgery but the one I made did not settle well on my tummy I have never seen anyone else mention that version of protien before you. guess I will have to try on again.
