Protein Bars

I have been eating protein bars lately for breakfast - don't know why..I refused to eat them for months, now I am starting to like them. I just buy the Atkins Advantage ones...I don't like anything chocolate/peanut butter flavor, so I have been getting mostly chocolate ones. I don't seem to mind them now, and I choose Atkins because they are one of the lowest carb ones out there.

I eat them quite often. There are many out there, and it is all trial and error. My favorite one is the Proti square Mocha. I also like the Luna bars, but you have to be carefull because alot of them are full of sugar and carbs. They are great when you are on the go, and don't have time for anything else.

I have some Detour bars and Zone bars that I'm going to finish, then I'm going to get the Adkins ones just because of the carb and sugar content.  I have a box of the Proti wafer bars that I got at WW and I love those too.  I will get those when I'm at WW.  I'm just not a breakfast eater, and this gives me so many more options for breakfast when I'm always on the run in the mornings.

Thanks everyone!

I have only found one I like and only have it on occasion. I like the Balance  brand. It has 15 grams of protein, 21 grams of carbs, and 7 grams of fats.
I prefer a protein drink to the bars because I get fewer carbs in them.
I get the peanut butter kind and it tastes alot like peanut butter cookie dough. I think I found out about it on here from someone. The box is about 5 dollars for 6 bars. They usually do have singles at Target and some Walmarts to try.
That is just my pick.

After long deliberation and reading boxes, standing in an aisle at Walmart, I decided to go with the Atkins bars, even though I have a couple of boxes of Zone Bars.  The Zone bars have way more carbs in them, and occasionally I will have one, but right now I'm trying to focus on low carbs.  I will take the Zone Bars to my mother.  She eats them for breakfast on occasion, I had a box I didn't like and she liked them and asked me to pick more up for her with her groceries.  She sure doesn't need to lose weight, but the protein doesn't hurt her at all.

I like the Power Crunch bars. They are fairly low in carbs and they are micro-peptides so you can count them as double the amount of protein! They are available at GNC for about $1 a bar or you can buy them online -- I think the site is bariatriceating.com
