Hey Pattye, the the RNY resolve your diabetes?  It did mine and I hope it did for you too!!!  I hated all those finger *****s and injections!!  Even with all that my diabetes was not controlled.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I was considered cleared before surgery cause of the weight loss and I wasnt eatting all the carbs and crap...
My a1c last week was 3.2  the doc asked me how do I do it I just laughed and said let me take you in the or and rearrange your innards
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

I sit there and looked dumbfounded when he told me I was n longer a diabetic according to standards. I thought when I went for a follow up sleep study and he told me to quit using it that was a big deal for me..I hated the mask...
being healthy has its rewards....take the challenge and just do it

Ok, I'm totally confused on the B12 issue.  My neurologist asked me before surgery if I was taking B12.  I told him yes, I took the sublingual tablets daily.  He said that's good, because B12 is only absorbed through the stomach, so you should take it orally.  So there has to be some benefit from the injections also, or they wouldn't be prescribing it at WW.  What's the difference?
 

34 lbs. lost before surgery on December 22, 2008.   105 lbs. lost prior to signing up for WLS.

I read that if you give the injections in the muscle it will be absorbed, but not if it goes into fat.
