HELP!! I'm completely STUPID!!!!

SON OF A GUN!! I've never given myself shots before and I got all confused when I went to give myself the B12 shot for the 1st time. I was given a 10ml vial of it, and a 3 ml syringe. And now after calling WW, the lady that answered the phone said she takes 1ml and that the vial should last me 10 months. WELLLLL........here the stupid thing I did. I thought well, they gave me a 3ml syringe, filled it up to 3ml and gave myself the shot!! WHAT AN IDIOT!! I think it was a combitation of giving myself a shot and a major brain fart!! So, my question is, is taking 2ml of b12 more than I should going to hurt me, surely you can't overdose......HELP!!!

It is possible to overdose on almost anything but I'm pretty sure you are safe. Its really, really hard to get too much B12. If you were to take megadoses over an extended period of time (months or even years) you might have a problem. If you are worried, call WW back.

I don't think you can OD on that but you might call them back to be on the safe side!!!  You're not an idiot.  I think it's understandible how that could easily happen.  I just use the sublingual under my tongue but have considered doing shots!! 

It is my understanding that you can't OD on B12, but I'm not a doctor. Give someone a call, just to ease your mind. Hey, on the positive side, maybe that's why you have the energy to clean out your cupboards. :)
Push the water, and you'll probably urinate the extra or release it through the skin (whatever our body does with too much B).

I always understood that our bodies will only absorb so much b-12 that you cant OD on it.  If you call and ask let us know the answer please.

LOL!!! I know this is of no help to you, but at least it's funny!!! My yellow lab - yes a dog - ate a whole bottle of B12 vitamins that I had on the kitchen table a few months ago! I think I must have had about 15-20 pills in there! She was ok...but like I said not comparable because she is a dog. Just when you brought up the B12 OD it reminded me of that - Seriously, I think you should be fine, but, just to make sure, call WW and ask one of the nurses or even one of the dieticians...

Amber, I think u will be fine, but call the docs office to make double sure. Its funny u brought this up, bcuz last night I was going to give myself an injection, and really wasnt paying any attention to the needle, but the pharmacy lady gave me two syringes last month. the one I used last month was 1 ml but the other one that i started to use last night was 3ml and seemed bigger to me. I couldnt even stick myself with that if I wanted to....I knew something was wrong. Anyway, I will have to go and get some more syringes today...1ml. Even when I tried to give myself one and just measuring off 1ml, the needle is not like the 1ml syringe..its too freakin big...lol. Now that I am done playing doctor, I will get the right kind of needle syringe today..lol

OMG I did the same thing when I first started giving myself shots. You will have to becareful about what vitamins and supplements you take for the next month...make sure they do not have B-12 in them cause having to much is not a good thing.
I do this to insure I get the right dosage I fill the syringe the night before and then check it the next morning before I stick myself. I was told to do it in the butt but found that the flabby part of my arm works better.I dont feel it at all.
Which is a blessing tro me after having to stick my fingers 5 times a day when I was a diabteic
