Ok here is what I had and before you say WHAT are you thinking hear me out.

1 slice bread  toasted 11 carbs 2 grams protein
bacon 0 carbs 10 grams protein
              total 11 carbs 12 protein.

In a hour I will drink my Orange Crystal Light that I added 20 grams of Unjury protein too.

SO before lunch I will get in a total of 32 protein 11 carbs.  This is good right?

WHY the bread correct? I dont usually eat the bread but have tried to eat the carb balance tortillas and my pouch doesnt like.  So I compared the labels this morning.

1 slice of bread 11 carbs 2 grams protein
1 tortilla 12 carbs 3 grams protein

Ok so yes the tortilla has 1 more protein but I was always doing a half a slice so in reality was getting 1.5 protein from it then me and my porcelian friend would meet for the next hour since the tortilla didnt do well.

So am I bad?????

I don't do bread but everyone is different.  I guess you just have to find what works for you!!!

This morning I started with 1 bottle of water with orange crystal light.

8 oz coffee

1/2 cup cottage cheese and mandarin oranges.

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I'm glad you posted this because breakfast has been a stumbling block for me.  I had gotten to the point where I quit eating breakfast because I'm not hungry, don't want and am uninterested.  I have never been a breakfast person.

But I've decided this has contributed to my stall.  I think I need breakfast to get my system going in the morning.

That being said, I just started eating breakfast this week.  Today I had:

1 scrambled egg with 1 piece of 50% reduced fat white cheddar
140 cals
9g fat
1g carb
14g protein

I never eat bread or tortillas but that's just me.  I don't really miss them which is a surprise to me.

And, no, I don't think you're bad.  I think you're good!

u are doing good Ms Sassy...u are not doing bad. I dont do bread, not really, maybe a pinch or two or three, but I do do the low carb wheat tortilla and usually only do about half too. I dont do that all the time, but every now and then especially in the morning scramble egg and cheese and put it in. This morning, didnt have alot of time to eat, so I grabbed me an atkins shake will try to have some protein for a snack

I will admit it. I have a slice of toast most mornings! I use the Wonder Light Wheat Bread. Per slice it is 40 calories, 9 carbs, 2.5 protein. I usually have it with SF strawberry jam. So....no I don't think your your bad at all!

I was never a breakfast person before surgery, but have found out that if I get lots of protein in at breakfast, I do really good all day.

1 cup diet swiss miss w/ miralax

32oz. of Powerade zero

1 scrambled egg and sprinkled 2% cheese topped with salsa

And looks like I should be getting on my 2nd   32 ounces of Powerade Zero now.

Have a great day,
Amber

I've tried doing bread but I think it must "ball" up or something and ends up feeling like a fist in my chest so that's why I don't do it!  I don't like that feeling but we all have to find our nich!!  I know I sure need to change up what I'm eating for breakfast because I'm sure in a rut.  It's hard to be creative at 5:30 in the morning for sure.

That's what bread, pasta, or rice does for me..it balls up - I tried the lo-carb tortillas and they do the same thing! So I don't even try anymore...

This is exactly how I feel with bread and tortillas too.  I find that if I go to a restaurant and try to eat the bread, I do better if I just eat the crusty part, but even then it is so little of it because if I eat too much it feels like lead in my pouch.
