Is feeling like this normal??
I went to my 6 week check up on Tuesday with Dr. B. The best thing is I'm down 32.5 pounds, but good grief is it worth feeling like this? I'm so weak, and tired all the time, and am not interested in doing much at all except for laying around. (please don't say call your doctor, I've already talked to him) Dr. B told me to get in more protein, so has put me on a protein shake between lunch and dinner. Also, put me on B12 shots once a month and B complex sublingual every day. I hate this feeling, I want to go back to work for my own sanity, but there is no way being this weak!!! Please help me, your advice is appreciated!!
Amber
Ahh Amber,
Bless your heart! I know exactly where you're coming from, because earlier this week I was in the same position. I was so weak I couldn't teach or do anything else for that matter. I did have a problem though and got back up on my feet today. I hope the protein and b12 helps. It's the pits feeling bad.
Hugs,
Marsha

Wow, this isn't the norm for VSG. The only time I felt weak like that was about 6 days after surgery and I needed some protein and bad!! I drove to GNC and picked up a protein bullet and starting drinking it. I felt better really quickly after that. I can't understand what could be going on but I'm glad you've seen Dr. B. Hang in there! It's bound to pass and I hope quickly!
Hi, Amber.
No, this doesn't seem normal. However, I'm sure that getting in more protein and all the "B" vitamins will help you. It will take a little bit of time before you'll see a difference, perhaps, but it will happen. Follow doctor's orders, and you'll be fine.
Consider posting a sample day's "menu," so we can see the types of things you're eating. [If you want to.]
Hang in there. It will get better.
Blessings,
Mary

Have you not been doing b12? I do the shots monthly and i know that when i go longer then the month I start to get really tired and its a reminder that I need my shot. I sure hope that you get it under control. i dont think that what you are feeling is what you should be feeling. Could be you are not getting enough protein so its good he is having you do the drink inbetween. Good luck I will keep you in my prayers.
Amber I said this before....if your protein levels are low then you will not have energy....I am surprised that you were not told to take a B-12 sub-lingual with the rest of your supplements. I do a injection cause its monthly..and I give it to myself which saves money. Some feel a big rush of energy as for me its the next day that I get that.
I suggest this...do the protein slams or protein bullets. to help you. Slams are at Wal mart are 26 grams of collagen protein and bullets are 42 or 56. Now collagen is not the best protein but it helps to get your level up. I also use protein supplements which can be bought at GNC or Wal Mart...just make sure they are whey protein... Are you getting your water in???
Please let me know whats happening
