Insurance Woes - XPost from the Lapband Board

The software company I work for was just purchased by a much larger company.  While that is great news in most areas and I know that my job is very safe....

The new insurance won't cover my fills!

I've been paying $40 for fills and now the cost will go up to $200.  YIKES!

Anyone had this experience?  The new HR person is looking into the possibility of "grandfathering" my coverage in but she wasn't very optimistic.

I hate insurance companies.

I will keep my fingers crossed for  you and say a prayer that the insurance will "grandfather" it in.

I agree with Deb!
unfortunatley most companies do not pay for fills...even my self employed insurance won't and I pay extra to have WLS cause. Another reason I chose RNY.
I hope that you can get this resolved

My insurance will pay for the lap band but not for the fills. That is part of the reason I am choosing RNY. Hope it works out for you.
