Gez, guy, you are doing SO good.  I love to see your determination.  We all know how hard you've worked and how dedicated.  I got the privledge to meet your parents too at the Christmas party.  They are as supporting as mine.  Have you used your gift you won with Somer yet?  You are on the downward slide now and your surgery will be here before you know it.   Congrats, Michael

SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

I did use my gift!  It was SOOO revealing!

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH JUST HOW USEFUL THE RMR/VO2 ASSESSMENT IS!!!!!  PAY THE MONEY EVERYONE AND DO IT!!!

I learned that my resting rate is a little sluggish.  I may need more thyroid medication.  At work, I learned my optimal band for exercise is 115-130 bpm with 127 being the perfect fat burning heart rate.  I burn 12.7 calories per minute of pure FAT at that rate.  Multiply that by 30 minutes and you get 381 calories burned!!  WOW!

Somer recommended a monitor.  WW sells them and you can get 10% off on group nights.  It's the Polaris FS1 and Academy sells them too.  About $60 is what it will set you back before discount.  Now when I walk, I set a goal of 127 bpm and try to stay near it.  Somer is a genius and it's really working!

I don't know what the cardio will do on Friday.  Only the 12 lead EKG is scheduled.  If I have to do a stress test I will go to the Heart Hospital to do it.  Since I'm pretty healthy I will likely get the inclined treadmill and not the chemical test.  Let's just hope that the EKG looks good and he clears me with the one visit!

I really want to do this after surgery.  I know it will help me melt away those pounds.  Your doing great man and you will always have us to support you along the way.  Looks like we will be close in surgery date so this will be a lot of new things together.  After I have surgery next week if you have any questions you are more than welcome to PM me.  I also will have my laptop with me at the hospital and will try and give updates as I can.  I am praying for you and hope you hit your goal soon.  See you tonight.

wow you are doing great!  The worst is behind you.  You'll get that 8.5 lbs off before you know it!

Do you know what you have done at the cardiologist?  Are they doing a treadmill or chemical stress test?

Best wishes to you,
Dot
