I had an infection type reaction where my IV was and had some selling and had to take antibiotics the day after I got out of the hospital. I am having what we believe are kidney stone issues but isnt DIRECTLY related to the surgery. I am so happy that I did this and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Here is mine:

Starting weight ........................................................... 203
Weight on day of surgery ........................................ 198
Date of surgery .......................................................... 7-17-08
Surgeon's name .......................................................... Dr. Broussard
Type of surgery ......................................................... VSG
Current weight ............................................................ 160
How far out are you .................................................. almost 6 months
Have you had any complications ............................ Leak, shoulder pain, nausea, 3 bacterial infections and possibly another leak now.

Now how are you doing?  Right now I'm depressed because I can't eat and drink because of a possible leak.  I've spent at least 10 days in the hospital in Sep., Oct., Nov., and Dec. and I am tired of being sick.  But the all important question is would I do it again?     In a hearbeat!!

Kim, You are doing a fantastic with all that you have gone through.
I know how it is to be in the hospital, and to think that it seems complications just follow you. But, the truth is for me at least each time I have a problem it just shows that if I was still super morbid obesed I would not survive alot of this. And as the ole saying goes what does not kill you just makes you stronger and kiddo we are super strength tstrong better than super gorilla glue,

You are right.  This will not kill me but it sure does get on my nerves.  But to think about it, I fought a harder battle with my cancer 3 years ago and believe me the treatments and side effects were 10 times worse than these darned leaks.  The only bad thing about this particular leak is I am thirsty.  They are not positive if it is a leak so I've been sipping about 4 sips a day when I'm dying of thirst.  Hopefully, it won't bite me in the butt.

You are an inspiration and I appreciate your support.

Kim
