OK Pattye - here is my info.
Highest Weight - 336lbs.
Wt. Day of Surgery -321 lbs.
Date of Surgery - 7/01/05
Surgeon - Dr. James Foote
Type of Surgery - Lapro RNY
Current Wt. - 188lbs.
Complications - Yes, I had an ulcer in February 2006 and another in October 2008.
I plan to lose another 20-30 lbs. minimum. But, as you know, after you are a few years out, the weight loss slows down dramatically, so this will take a little time. Hope to have a panniculectomy this spring or so, dr. and I agree its time. Would like to have some other "body work" done, but, insurance won't pay so unless I win the lottery, the panni will be all I'm getting.
I would do this all again in a heartbeat. My only concern is that my surgeon told me if I develop another ulcer I will probably have to have Revision surgery done. Ugh!
But, all things considered it is the best thing I have ever done for myself!
