ROLL CALL lets hear about you!

I started at 266, last time I weighed it was 168 but it's been awhile. I go in on thursday and I'm really hoping for an even hundred lost.

I had my surgery in Mexico, Lopez was the fellows name (I think, I honestly don't remember).  Now I use Dr. Nelson at OWLO for my follow ups.  Oh, I had a lap band put in.

I've not had anything major at all, had a couple of unfills due to flue/vomiting but for some reason stomach and intestinal stuff freaks me out big time and I've probably been more compliant at this then I have ever been on anything in my entire life.  I think that some people don't take the lap band seriously and don't follow instructions, and you can get into serious trouble if you don't.  Low risk does not mean NO risk.

Deb,
I know how hard it is for banders. And for you to have lost over a hundred..sorry I am believing that. Is super. You may not have the risks that an rnyer has but to me having the band is just hard.
Btw I have someone that I am counseling. she is hoping to have the band in March..do you have any suggestions I can give her...

Seemed like the (few) men on the forum were un-represented here, so I'm chiming in - for some balance if nothing else.

have you had any complications....No physical complications, but my head still has some issues... can't fill a plate with the right amount of food, can't pick the right size clothes off a rack, can't seem to visualize myself at this new size except in photos, etc...

All in all, I would do it again tomorrow if needed.  It has been possibly the best thing I've ever done for myself (although "doing for myself" is still sometimes a challenge as well.)

Have a great evening, and thanks for the topic!
