first of all welcome to our little corner of the world! second of all, 12lbs will fall off of you in no time! i had to lose 33 lbs before surgery and just about died when dr b told me that but in the end i lost 40 lbs in a little over a month and i thought i couldn't do it!! get ready for the ride of a lifetime!!!

Welcome to the group and hope to meet  you sometime soon - good luck with the cast and you can do it!!! The weight will come off...I had to lose over 50 lbs before surgery and truly didn't think I could do it - it was hard, but it happened!!!! Good luck and feel free to ask any question you may have!

Hi Jerri!  I just wanted to add my welcome to this great group. This is without a doubt the best forum on the whole board.  This group is supportive and engages in very little of the drama that is so frequent on the other boards.  I don't even live in OK and they have welcomed me with open arms!  Let us know if we can help.  I am 5 weeks post op and a patient at WW so I will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
