I haved decided to start tracking my food for a few days so that I know how much protein I'm getting in.  I hate it but how else will I know where I might be going wrong or how I might trick this body into losing more weight.

So in case you didn't know, there are several free website that will track your daily intake and give you a complete run down.  I'm using www.thedailyplate.com and it's pretty easy to use and FREE!

Ok, just thought I would share in case you folks didn't know about this yet.

Happy Saturday to all!

The daily plate is a good one. I prefer www.my-calorie-counter.com . It is free as well. It tracks all the same thing the dailyplate does.

Hi, Kim & Newbies.
My favorite tracking site (free) is www.nutrimirror.com. You can track your food (w/ all nutritional info.), water, exercise, measurements, etc. I love it!
Blessings,
Mary

I have been using daily plate also.  It just helps me keep on track of what I am eating now that I can eat more.  I have been using it for a week now and put in my height, weight, and age and that I wanted to lose 3 lbs a week.  It told me I need to eat just under 1,200 calories a day.  And....I lost 3 lbs this week!!  I attribute it to increasing the protein and tracking my food.

I don't see where you can pick losing 3 pounds a week. My option was only up to 2 pounds.  What am I doing wrong, I wonder?

It didn't let you type over the 2 and put in something else?  It does me.  But, I know that their site has been going through lots of changes and for some reason the site looks different depending on which computer I am using so maybe with the new living free or whoever it is that they partnered with, it won't let you.  It does come up and scream at you with a message that 3 lbs a week is too much but I just ignored it.

Well, duh!  I never thought to try to over-ride it.  I just was picking from their drop down list.  I'll give it a try!

I have been using the daily plate since the day I started mushies. It has become a routine part of my evening to enter in what I have eaten for the day. I have not missed a day yet -- although entering all the stuff from our Christmas party was a challenge!

Good advice Kimmie! I have tracked on thedailyplate.com since the beginning, then I slacked off, but I have started up again yesterday. Amy is right, they partnered with Livestrong.com and depeding on which computer you use, you get a different version, but you should be able to override the 2 lbs and put a new weight goal.
