Eating out question....

OK for 2-3 weeks now I have been craving broccoli beef and it just will not go away does anyone know what kind of stats it has for protein and such? I really thought if I ignored it the craving would go away and while I have made broccoli to eat it is not doing the trick. I know it will  proably be a little high in sodium and if I knew for sure how to make it I would .

I make and eat broccoli beef pretty often....I also failed to avoid the craving..so it's all about how bad the sauces are....  beef is great, the broccoli is great, the garlic is great, but the soy is just high in salt....but the cornstarch is horrible so make that with xanthan gum instead.....or there are a few other alternatives...  Lemme know if you want to still make it....I'll help ya keep it low carb...but the salt is all on you!  I couldn't do it without the hoison or soy sauce! hehe...

yes, BY ALL MEANS, stay away from the BB at the Chinese resturants.  TRUST ME!!!!  Ruth can tell you about the two days of hell I went through throwing that stuff up.

I'm glad I noticed this post about Chinese food.  I absolutely love it!  But, since my surgery I cannot tolerate in any form.   I've tried three times to eat it and every time became very ill.

The wierd thing is that even tho I got really sick from it, I still get hungry for it sometimes.

I can eat at Dot Wo's-they will not use MSG if you ask them.  I think the last time I went to the buffet with my parents is going to be the LAST time....I didn't even make it home before I chucked.

When I make chineses at home I don't even use corn starch or any starch in my sauces, just stir fry, toss in some spices and light soy sauce and that works a lot better for me.  I don't like anything feeling "thick" in my throat-it makes me start gagging.  OK, that didn't sound good, but I meant it foodwise-it's like if my body even thinks it might get stuck I start trying to get rid of it.

I eat Chinese food and do OK.  I eat the meat out first and then some of the veggies.  I love chicken and snow peas!  Yummy!  I also sometimes eat the guts of an egg roll with some spicy mustard.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)
