A Few More Hours of Good Weather

The day stayed a lot nicer than I thought it was going to.....I rode extra during the lesson, then decided to stop off at Draper Lake and practice-I went out with a group who was just leaving-and didn't realize they were going to be out for two hours instead of one.....and while I am DOG tired, I was able to hang (and we went long)  Oh yeah, I also walked with my Dad this morning before I left.  He was walking by when I was loading my saddle and I just fell in and started walking with him to chat.  So, I am calculating 4 hour saddle time plus a 15 minute walk (Daddy is old).

I stopped at KFC for some tea and a chicken strip and tripped on the sidewalk and went down HARD-a year ago I would have broken my wrist I'm sure (because I wouldn't let go of the food sack I landed partially on my wrist-I usually tuck and roll when I fall (habit from biking).  A year a go a fall would have ended my day-I didn't even say Sh**, I said "woopsie", checked everything to make sure it wasn't broken then went on to Draper to ride.

Oh yeah, and there are no mounting blocks at Draper and I CAN pull myself up.  (I'm going to talk to Donnie about that though, because it would be a good place for us to meet and ride except for that).

So, good times, some crash, no burns but my hip is going to have a bruise.  And yes, I'm lying on the heating pad now-feels soooooooooo good.
