Welcome !! I am so excited for you. I too was very near 500 pounds when I decided to find and use every tool possible to get healthier. Take one day at a time, one doc appointment at a time. If you look at the whole process it can be overwhelming. You are making the best decision and you will do it one step at a time. We will cheer you on your journey...Yipee for you!! Way to go!!

Welcome to the Oklahoma Forum!  You have made the best decision of your life...to get healthy.  Most of us were like you, overweight all our lives!  I know I have been and I would so do this again in a heartbeat!!!  This has been the best year of my life and the ride has been fast.  Just follow the instructions that are given to you at your WLS center and you will be a success!!!  You can ask for ideas, suggestions or what to expect through this all and someone has usually got some advice or suggestions for you!  It's awesome to have a support group of folks who have been where you are now and where you are going!!!  Have an awesome day and best of luck to you with your remaining doctor appointments!!!

Welcome to the OK Board!  The folks here are a wonderful group of compassionate, kind, and supportive people. 

I'm from Michigan and they even let me hang out here if I behave myself! 

Congratulations on losing 60lbs "on your own."  That is a big accomplishment all by itself.  I'm sure you will do very well.  Please come back often and keep us informed as you progress.
