Wickedly Weird Day/Night
I have been SOOOO busy today I am finally getting around to posting this.
I went to bed last night with my left ear THROBBING. I could feel my heartbeat in it and could not hear ANYTING out of it. My right ear was not much better either. At about 4 am I woke up FREEZING and feeling like i was going to die. I was covered from head to toe in sweat and my stomach felt weird. I got out of bed and tried to make it to the shower and nearly fell down. I sat in my recliner and covered up for about 2 hours shivering the whole time until finally I leveled out. I called mom first thing this morning and told her aboutthe chills. She said "Oh great now you too!" I was kinda puzzled and asked her to explain. Turns out this is something that is (here comes the shocker) hereditary. It has happened to my dad many times over the years, it happened to my grandpa, and my broher says its happened to him a time or two. Pretty freaky huh?
Anyways, I went to the doctor at about noon to get my ear checked out. Ends up I had a sinus infection AND I had 10 years worth of hardened backed up earwax clogging up both ears. After about 8-10 flushes of saline and a whole bottle of eardrops the clogs finally came out. The one in my left ear was the size of a big pencil eraser. GROSS I KNOW.
Doc put me on some Metanix to help with the sinuses. He also noticed the dry redness around my nose and made a comment. i said yeah my face seems to be drying up arond my nose and on my upper lip, should I use some aloe lotion or something. He said it is a condition that if it gets worse he is going to haveto give me some type of steriod treatment. Anyone know what this is? Anyways I will update if this gets worse and if I find out any info.
