So this is the goal that's stareing me in the face right now. I'm doing a protien shake ( the Dr. sold me) in the morning and for supper, and a salad with only spritz dressing for lunch...I do this for 2 weeks and then stop for a week and go back for 2 more weeks...it's tough! But it's just another insurance hurdle I have to jump through, to show committment to the program. I wonder if the people who lay out these guidlines for insurance requriements have ever struggled with their weight? Oh well, i'm going to try not to whine. Any tips or advice?

You can do it..Stay focused.. I lost 36 pds in one month, you can do 10 pds by Feb 14th.. If you really want this surgery, stay focused and keep your goals in mind.  Write them down on paper and put them on the fridge, every wall in the house, the bathroom.. And start drinking the water.  Flush your body out.. Stay strong and don't give into temptations, you can do this..

Hang tuff,

Sheila

You can do it!!!  I know that the nutritionists at weightwise put me on the agressive diet to loose my pre-op weight really fast.  They knew what they were doing and it so worked for me.  Just keep your eye on the prize!!!  You can do this for 6 weeks and then you'll never have to diet again...you'll just h ave a new way of life to life!!!  It's so worth it!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

Stay Strong!!!  You can Sooooo lose 10 lbs. by Feb. 14th.  Try pretending that you've already had surgery.  2 Protien shakes & a salad will be a feast compared to what you'll be able to eat in the months right after your operation.  ;-)

Good luck to you & I'm sending all my spare ~~~~~~Willpower Vibes~~~~~~  your way.

I know you can do it, girl, even though it's going to be hard.  Just know you can talk to me on here or on myspace anytime you need anything.  I had the same surgeon and I'll be glad to help you out with anything you might need.  I think if you can do this hurdle, you can do anything! and you will do it!!  Let me know if there's anything I can do to help~ *hugs*

Keep your eye on the prize and you CAN do it!  Sounds like a starvation diet but follow what they tell you and you'll get your surgery date.  If you feel weak, post here and we'll prop you up.  Avoid carbs at all costs because the more of them you eat, the more of them you want to eat.  So it's not worth it to cheat even one bite!  Cold turkey!

Much love and good vibes your way!

Yes, Glitter is correct, insurance companies suck.

Hang in there, and be very careful what you eat during the week you "stop"....

DeWitney you can do it! You are a strong woman and can handle what you need to! Another thing that helped me pre-op was the special k protien waters I would buy the packets so I could mix on the go the protien helps keep you feeling full.
