I'm glad to hear that.  I just goe one of his cookbooks as well right before Christmas and just haven't had time to look through it yet.  Let me know what you've enjoyed the most so I can try them first!!!  (You can be the ginea pig (I don't like that term at all) let's say ginea looser!!!

This is the ride of my life.....what an amazing tool I now have!!!

I was going to start a thread about this too...  I bought both of his cookbooks in November too, since they were 50% off.  I think I got both of them for $10.00 or something like that.. Anyway, DH and I were looking through both books yesterday and the recipes seem quite easy.  I am still on liquid diet and wont be off till next Wednesday, but I am ready to try some of his recipes out.  Now I am a bit confused as to why pasta is added in some of the recipes.  But DH explained it to me as, it's a family friendly cookbook and not just for the WLS patient.  So I can still cook healthy for my family, but leave the pasta out for me..

You will have to tell us what recipes you have tried, they all sound very easy to me..

Thanks,
Sheila

Sheila, we can have pasta as long as it is whole wheat. I decided when I i got to my one year I would have pasta once every three months, or so.
I do have pasta now its made with spagetti squash and my roommate loves it. I also make a lasangna using eggplant and different veggies as noodles.
My one food that i love is potato salad and I found out I can use califlower instead of taotos and its very satisfying.
Tonight I did the stir fry with ribeye and spinach..it was to die for.
Tomorrow I am having company over for dinner so I am making one of the pasta dishes and cheesey garlic bread made from my own whole wheat french bread....
And in you honor Sunday I will have a WLS friendly cream soup...
