Laid to Rest
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. My Daddy was laid to rest today right next to my precious Mother. At last they are together again. As you can imagine I have all kinds of emotions going on at this time. It is extremley difficult and hard to sort them all out. What a way to end the year, huh? My daughter spoke at his services just like she did at Mothers. She pinned her military medals and ribbons on him because he indeed was her true hero as well as the foundation of our family. Things will never be the same with the two of them gone, however tomorrow is a new day and a New Year. With God's grace and the the good things they have taught me, as well as all the special memories they have left me, no doubt I can get through this. Once again, thank you for your support. Please continue to pray for the strength that I will need in the future. ((((((HUGS)))))) Rita
Daddy and I at Mom's services last month.
Dear Rita,
The past month or so has certainly been a very rough time for you. I don't think I have the proper words to tell you just what I am feeling, so I will simply say that prayers are being said for you and your loved ones as I type. I will continue to hold you in my thoughts. You are such a support to all of us and now it is our time to be that for you.
Peace and Blessings,
Pam
I'm so sorry about all you've been through, losing both parents in such a short time. I want a better word to use than "losing," though, because your parents aren't lost. You know where they are--together and very happy. Try to picture that, as best you can. May the God of All Comfort envelop you with His love and grace. Take good care of yourself. Get as much rest as you can. My prayers for strength have gone up and will continue.
My Life Plan Devotion this morning was about the heroes in our life. I know your father and mother were both heroes to you, and their investment in your life will continue to live on through you, affecting others in a most powerful way.
Blessings,
Mary
