Hi, Emily.
That's exciting. Your 8 days might fly by, but they might not, too. What I did was I began packing (I had a LONG list). I made sure my cupboard and fridge had post-op things to drink and, later, to eat. I wanted the house clean. I wrote letters to my family (only because it comforted me and, frankly, because I HAVE to have the "last word"). I balanced the checkbook and paid bills. Just stay as busy as you can, and the time will go by much faster.
I'm excited for you, Emily.
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks Mary. I just hope that I get a surgery date when I go in for my pre op. I am so excited. I am going to be very disappointed if I have to wait much longer to have the surgery. I am trying not to dwell on it because I know that will make the time pass slower. I am going to do a lot of reading. I find when I read time zooms.

I'm a dork, Emily. I was reading your post as 8 days until your surgery. You must think I'm a schlep! I guess I am. :)
Now that I know, I hope you get a date in 8 days. Take an extra walk each day (or something to keep active). You'll be there! :)
Blessings,
Mary

Emily, I am sure you will get a date when you go in to see him. He was originally going to be my surgeon(he is a cutie too...I used to work with his group on the surgical floor at St Francis for three years). You are going to be in good hands. Before you know it, that time will be here and you will be on the losers bench. Were keeping your spot warm for ya. Hugz

Thanks LaDetra. I sat through the seminar 2 times so I could hear Dr Katsis and Dr Fisher both before I chose which one I wanted to do it. I just liked Dr Katsis' personality the best and Yes, he is easy on the eyes.........
I am excited to go. Thanks for the encouragement. Keep posting your updates. It sure helps me to know what I will be going through.
Hugs,
Emily

thanks Kim. I am pretty excited. Tomorrow is my last pre op appointment. Just doesn't seem real at this point. It has been such a long haul. I started this whole process in July of 06 and it had to be put on hold and I had to start over in Oct 07 so it has been a long time coming. I can't believe it. It will seem more realy once I get a date. I am so looking forward to getting a date.

Emily we will be sliding over for you to have a spot on the losers bench before you know it! It is so frustrating when it takes so long then poof it all comes together and flies before you know it. You have done great so far and will do so the rest of the way
