How funny! I watch the Food Network all the time too. I also love the Bravo channel's Top Chef! It is great!
I used to print up everything but then realized I can just copy and paste and store in a file on here and never lose it! I am putting together a family cookbook, so they will help as fillers.
I love Paula Dean too. I think she is so pretty! I realized though after getting her Magazine(which I loved by the way). That many of her recipes are recipes right out of my recipe box! They are old wonderful family recipes... Nothing really new.  I love her downhome methods and ideas though. I do pick up a lot of technics and new ways to do things....Rachel Ray is one I loved and now just tolerate as it beats watching Martha! The Neeleys make me want to puke!! I can't stand to watch them at all...Way to mushy and cheesy!! Many times I just turn it on and do other stuff while just listening to it....Maybe it is therapy somehow.
You should try to find Top Chef! It is a contest type show and great!
My daughter is now afraid that since cooking is my passion, won't it ruin that after the surgery.....Maybe she is afraid I won't cook for them anymore!(I cook all kinds of dishes that can be frozen and cooked later) The funny thing is, I don't eat when I cook. I send it all away to their homes. I have actually been cooking like crazy this last month for them and I have lost 4 lbs over this whole month! Thats not a bad thing!
So, yes, I am raising my hand....My name is Sherry and I am an addict!!

i'm like you. after i have spent the time cooking it i don't really want to eat but your family will realize that giving up some of that cooking and getting a healthy and happy mom will be worth it in the long run!

Food Network is on our TV a lot.  My husband likes to watch it.  I wasn't very interested in it though until AFTER WLS!  lol  I don't now why, but I became more interested in it since surgery.  I like Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives, Good Eats, FN Challenge, can't remember what else.  As far as Iron Chef, I like the Japanese version better which is on Fine Living Network now.  I also LOVE LOVE LOVE Bravo's Top Chef!!  I also love Hell's Kitchen (whenever it is on, it has been awhile now) and the Next Food Network Star!!  I've tried some of Paula Deen's recipes and they are all wonderful!  You all should try her Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf!  It is to DIE for!

I have always watched the Food Network and HGTV (not as often).  I LOVE it.  In fact, I'm watching Rachel as I type.  I don't care much for the Neeley's either.  They are too smoochy for my liking.  Diners, Drive-in's & Dives is probably my favorite show.  I love Paula Deen and wish I had her kitchen.  Some of the other guys I can either take them or leave them but let me tell you, I have spent the better part of five months watching non-stop Food Network.  It never seems to bother me or make me hungry.  I've made a couple of the recipes and they turned out pretty good.
