Update on my Daddy
Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I moved Daddy to Saint Anthony's Tuesday. Currently he has aspiration pneumonia and is not waking up. He hears me talking and will shake his head and sometimes mumble words, but will not open his eyes. He is still unable to swallow. He appears to have had a basilar stroke, however the MRI doesn't confirm this. Please continue to keep him in your prayers My only goal is to keep him comfortable as possible. Even though I don't want to lose him, nothing would make me any happier if he could go be with Mother.I would then have two very specials angels watching over me. Thanks again and Happy New Year, Rita
Oh Rita, I am so sorry that his condition is worsening. It is so strange, but it happens often that when one spouse dies the other follows soon after. It is like they are truely meant to be together forever and ever. Maybe God thinks you need two angels right now!
No one can take this all away from you, but I know that God never puts us in a place that he doesn't prepare us first. You are one special daughter and one special person! I pray the New Year brings you wonderful peace and joy!
Hugs Rita,
Sherry

Dear Rita,
I remember the tug and pull of similar days. You want your parent to be with you always, yet you want them to find peace, too. May God's peace and comfort surround you and your father, as He leads him Home.
Blessings,
Mary

Rita:
I know there are no words to share that will comfort you completely - I am always here for you if you ever need me - just call - you have my number!
I am glad you were able to move him closer to home so that will take a little bit of the pressure off you having to travel to see him and ensure he is getting the care he needs. Please know that I am praying for his comfort and that God is watching over him as he goes through these particular trials.
If it is God's will to provide you with a second angel so soon after your mother, then it is not ours to ask why - but to accept that He knows best what we need and how to care for his flock.
Please let me know if I can do anything for you. Love - Ruth

THE ABILITY TO CONTINUE IN THE PRESENCE OF FEAR.
Dear Rita,
I am so sorry to hear about your Daddy. Parents are so precious aren't they? I sometimes don't think we appreciate that until we ourselves get a little older. At least that has been my experience.
Please know you and your Daddy and all your loved ones have a place in my heart and are in my prayers.
BIG HUGGS TO YOU DEAR LADY,
Pammie
