My Appointment

I had a great (slightly early) 6 month post op appointment today. I am down approximately 55% of my excess body weight. Dr Walton wanted to know how I was handling the holidays. I told him that I have not been a bit tempted by all the goodies around, both at home and at work. He said that if I have this same attitude next year at this time I am guaranteed to have permanently changed my behaviors and bound to be a success. Jess added that that I should easily be at goal by my one year anniversary. Dr Walton showed me my pictures. I am never going back to that person!

I have been tempted myself with sweets, but careful not to eat too much to make me sick. Will be glad when the holidays are over!

Great news Nancy!! You are doing wonderful! It is so funny because so many on here are seeing their pictures and say the same thing!!
I measured myself last night and am writing a journal about this path and my thoughts during this process. I think it should be interesting when it is all said and done. Now if I could just get to the surgery point!!! LOL

I HAVE MIXED FEELINGS WHEN I LOOK AT MY OLD PICTURES. I FEEL PROUD OF HOW FAR I HAVE COME BUT THEN I AM EMBARASSED BY HOW FAR I LET MYSELF GO. I GUESS I WILL JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH BOTH EMOTIONS NOW, HUH? CONGRATULATIONS ON SUCH A GOOD VISIT!!
